Typical
CarTurn Installations
|

A
straight driveway leading up to a garage or to a dead end is the
typical situation.
In this case the car can be rotated 180° and left on the table,
ready to go out front end first, or it can pass right over the table
and be parked in the garage, to be backed out later for rotation
on the table.
It is not hard to back onto a table but it does take some
practice.

Some
driveways require a 90 degree turn to get into the garage. In this
case there is usually enough room to turn the car around just outside
the garage but it is often inconvenient and it may take several
small movements to do so. A turntable can be used for a 90 degree
turn and again the table can be used before entering the garage
or after doing so. |
If
two or more cars use a narrow driveway, the parked cars can be left
beyond the turntable so that the last car can use it and be parked
on it. Of course the last car must leave before the others can get
out but this was the case without a turntable. |
|
A
turntable can be placed in front of a two car garage centered between
the two doors. Either side of the garage can then be used by driving
over the table with only two wheels passing over the table. In backing
out of the garage a slight turn is required to get all four wheels
on the table for rotation. This is easy with a little practice. |
